Ad of the Day: Indian music school creates piano with only white keys in stand against racism
Bridge Music Academy has unveiled the follow-up to ‘The Racist Cover’, launching ‘The Racist Keyboard’ to leverage the power of music as a counter to racism.
Conceptualized by Dentsu Webchutney, the spot features the ‘world’s fastest pianist’ Aman Bathla. He is challenged to play the famous song ‘My Heart Will Go On’ by Celine Dion on a piano made entirely of white keys.
The tune sounds very different from the well-known song, thus asserting that both black and white keys are important to create harmony.
Sudesh Samaria, chief creative officer and co-founder of Dentsu Webchutney, said: “This keyboard stands as a symbol of protest against racism. It shows how the world would look like if we let racism prevail. Racism needs to stop now. Through this campaign, we are giving people a platform to raise their voice against racism.”

Bridge Music Academy, a premier music school in Delhi-NCR has launched an integrated campaign that uses music to fight the persisting problem of racism in society. ‘The Racist Cover’ campaign demonstrates how it is impossible for people to live in harmony if they remain divided on the basis of color.
As part of the campaign, Aman Bathla was asked to play the famous song ‘My Heart Will Go On’ by Celine Dion from Titanic without the black keys on the piano. The final tune sounded very different from the original music, thus emphasising the importance of black keys on the piano.
