WPP Health Practice in UK leadership shakeup
WPP Health Practice is doubling down on its UK leadership team with the simultaneous appointment of Caroline Howe as its UK lead together with the promotion of Simon Stebbing as UK chief executive for Wunderman Thompson Health.
Howe will assume oversight of brands including Ogilvy Health, Darwin healthcare Communications and Sudlet London in the role, drawing heavily on a quarter-century of experience in healthcare integrated marketing.
Stebbing meanwhile will be promoted from MD of digital and advertising at Ogilvy health UK to assume the mantle of Wunderman Thompson Health lead while retaining his role as international head of digital for WPP Health Practice.
Both will report directly to WPP Health practice CEO Claire Gillis who said: “Caroline and Simon have been instrumental in generating an open and inclusive culture for our teams and a market-leading specialist service for our clients. I know that their creative zest and passion for delivering progressive health communications will continue to drive our teams, our clients and our brands forward. The leadership shakeup is intended to position WPP Health Practice for further expansion in Britain to encompass pharmaceuticals, OTC, prescription medicine, eCommerce, health insurers and hospitals.
WPP has recently consolidated its health agencies within some of its largest US agency brands.
