Ads We Like: Virgin Trains brainstorms perfect mode of transport – and guess what it is
Virgin Trains has launched an ad urging viewers to imagine the ideal form of travel – it then convincingly guides that thought process to the conclusion that it already exists, courtesy of the train company.
In ‘Very Fast Chair’ from Anomaly London, the company brainstorms the perfect way to travel. ‘Imagine an impossible-sounding vehicle’ it asks.
First comes a very fast chair, but with some imagination, that comes with food and entertainment with a special road and free wifi and service and a toilet. From a commuter’s madcap, steampunk chariot comes a fast-moving Virgin Train.
The TV spot features a man traveling to Wigan, surprised by the sheer ease of the journey. The ad also ran in audio form.
The work was directed by Keith Schofield.
